Pipedown003 feat. Addison Groove, James Blake b2b Airhead + XXXY

Monday, June 14th, 2010

via Pipedown

It’s been too long, really, too damn long. Not from lack of trying but here’s our next night. We’re still taking over The Rhythm Factory but this time it’s on a Saturday (3rd July) and it’s free entry all night. Yes you heard, free entry all night.

Playing on the night :-

ADDISON GROOVE

JAMES BLAKE b2b AIRHEAD

XXXY

and residents
MATT FLYNN, CNTRST and RYLSKI

ADDISON GROOVE comes following the release of the massive Footcrab Footcrab Footcrab and being the first to spark recent movements heavy on 808 timbres and stripped back percussion; alongside Addison Groove check recent work from Joe and Ramadanman or recent sets from Loefah for some of the most exciting sounds around right now. He’ll bring his unique take on Chicago’s Juke / Footwork genres applied to a London-friendly template. JAMES BLAKE goes b2b with AIRHEAD for the first time; Blake’s recent CMYK EP on R&S has captured the hearts of everyone from Ben UFO to Zane Lowe and Airhead is due 12″s and an album on Brainmath later this year. Get ready for the pair’s devastating synth wizardery. XXXY rounds things off combining the best parts of house, garage and disco. While us Pipedown residents will warm things up nicely.

Lots more stuff to come but for now here’s the Facebook event.

See you there :) .
